This is my first major attempt at a graphite portrait. On this particular subject I was unable to incorporate as much shading on the face as I wished because the models face was rather lit up by light and she lacked some contrast. I am pleased with the overall result seeing this is my first portrait attempt, if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask me.

I think it is a good start, and worthwhile to think about lighting subject matter so that there is a range of values.
Yes I agree, thank you. It was a bit hard with values on this particular subject as the image had no shading or contrast, her face was fully lit up as stated in the description.
