Hello all,
I am sharing my last watercolor painting with you. It is from the Line and Wash course on the website, in case you are interested. ![]()
I wasn’t sure how this will turn out when I started the drawing with a pencil, but then I added ink (what was more fun than I expected). It was the first time I tried a “real” ink (from the bottle) and I hope trying it again soon. And the watercolor of course brought the color to all of it.
Here is the painting of a windmill:

Oh wow, is she a Swiss White Shepherd?
This is lovely, Lucy. I sketched that Wind Mill on my vacation last year trying out the cotman brand Matt is using. Really enjoyed both! Water color is such a great Medium and you did great using it.
No, Sys, it didn’t went just all right, it’s looking fabulously great!!! Thanks for sharing - I love this cat.
She’s a Korean jindo dog @Buddy ![]()

Hi Forum Friends.
I just completed (July 11, 2026) is this watercolor painting on Arches 300# hot press watercolor paper. It’s a Waved Albatross. Known for its distinctive wave-like feather patterns, large yellow bill and impressive 8-foot wingspan. It nests primarily on Espanola Island in the Galapagos Islands which is where I took the reference photo several years ago.

This is a predominately acrylic painting I did for a student show at my local art center a couple weeks ago.
Lol, thank you, I was so wrong about the breed. Lol
Wow, Terri, this is a very special bird and a wonderful piece of art. Your colors are fantastic. I really do love the background, you chose for this guy. Thank you for the story it’s coming with. You have visited the Galapagos Islands in your live!!! What an experience this must have been.
Thanks for sharing your art with us, Lucas, this piece is telling quite a story. Are you a member of TVI? If so, I think this piece might be great to send in for a critique.
