# Reccomendation for masking fluid

Hi everybody.
My masking fluid from Winsor and Newton keeps drying up in the bottle. I never get to use more than 1/3 of the bottle nefore it dries up. Are others having similar issues? Can anyone recommend a better fluid?

Hi Siffermus,
I would recommend Grumbacher Miskit Liquid fluid, it has worked very well in the past. The 1.2 oz jar is around $13.34 on Blick Art Materials.

Hi Sys, I don’t have any comparisons, but **SCHMINCKE Rubbelkrepp works great for me. Never had an issue with it so far. I don’t know what “Rubbelkrepp” means in English, but maybe you can look it up, if you like.

Exactly my first brand, when it comes to water color. Horadam is superb, yet expensive. However, I have learned to try out Matt’s suggestions too and got myself a little field set of Winsor & Newton water color. They absolutely work well together with Schmincke and are great too.
