This started as an oil painting for an online class. The soft pastel was for fun.

@Shamr0ck,

Such a fun and interesting subject. The textures or smoothness of your subjects are amazing. I’m so impressed, especially the combination of oil and soft pastels.
What kind of pastels, oils did you use. I’m so intrigued!
I love soft pastels, but cannot figure out oils

Sonia

This is just soft pastel on pastelmat paper. The reference to oil was that this was an assignment for oil painting exercise in an online class. But just to see if I could make a soft pastel that was as smooth as the oil painting was just a fun task apart from the course.

Thanks Denise: This work has a special meaning for me as it kept me sane at a crucial moment in a course of study with oil paint.

I should add that this work + an email from Matt kept me from stopping all art activity here at home.
