I’m mostly self taught, I was an art major in high school but that was eons ago. My professional career meant I had very little time for art so being creative was put on hold for many years. I started painting watercolor again with an instructor in 2012 and discovered VI in 2016.

Although I still love watercolor, colored pencil is creeping up as my favorite medium. I also like using toned paper, working in pen and ink and combining different media. Matt has taught me not to be afraid to experiment.

I have also been battling 2 different blood cancers since 2015. So art has become my escape and salvation from the daily grind of treatment and appointments. I do lots of pen and ink and zentangles while I’m getting treatment, it really make the time go by! I also created a website with my artwork. I sell prints and donate 10% of the profits to Leukemia Lymphoma Society and CaringBridge. I hope you visit and find some inspiration.
