Hi! As a new member, I would like to see more information given regarding the supplies for the courses. Perhaps a downloadable page with a list for the entire class… Also, please include size requirements for paper, etc. It would be helpful to be able to print a “shopping list.” Thanks!
LOVE the changes on the website! I appreciate all the time and effort- you have such a wealth of information- and now it is easier to find!
Hi Matt,
The reason I joined TVI is because I feel as if I need to increase my confidence and skill level. Your site seems as if it’s intended for beginner-level and non college students, which suits my needs right now. On sites such as Stephen Bauman’s Atelier and Dan Thompson’s, some of the lessons can be over-my-head.
The request that I’m making to you is that you add to - what I consider to be - gaps in the curriculum. For instance, the Acrylic Painting Academy would be much more beneficial to me if it was more incremental, and had self-assignments. The [griz-eye] that you made is quite impressive, but I find two flaws in it: one is that it’s a tough project - the grisaille is quite an achievement, yet if one does complete it at that standard, I foresee the issue of botching up all that hard work with inept glazing.
You did a fine job with the glazing of the cherries, but I believe a couple of other exercises of different colors would help me with my competence. It’s for that reason that I would like it if you consider making the projects more incremental - and therefore more suitable for a year long course.
Yours truly,
Donald Miller
