This is a chicken coop that my husband and I built at our old place in Ohio. We really enjoyed having chickens. This is soft pastels on red matboard, which I coated with clear gesso. It made a nice sanded surface. It is 8x10.

Outstanding contrasts. With the lights and the darks so close together, it makes the whole picture pop off the page! Beautiful work!

This is one of those great pieces that has 2 subjects -the chicken coop and the LIGHT. It reminds me of the works of the painter Edward Hopper. Well done! Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy seeing your art work.
