I used Strathmore 400 series Grey Scale paper. Very heavy stuff to draw with if you are using colored pencils like I did here. I botched the background quite a bit. So much so that I stopped working on it back in November. Then recently I discovered a way to clean it up and replace it with pan pastels. That seemed to have worked much better. It’s not the best background in the world, but it helps to keep the subject a bit more noticeable. Thank you for your comments.
