I recently finished a colored ink stippling project of a lady from Madagascar in colored ink. I use Faber-Castell Indian ink pens and Micron ink pens.
I am doing a Pixabay around the world tour of every country on every continent. I started working in Africa. I am drawing all of the photos in Graphite first by simple observation.
Next I am choosing a topic like animals, people, food, nature, etc. and doing one from every country connected to that continent. It has been fun and interesting. a good way to practice graphite drawings and then choosing an appropriate colored medium to create a more polished version.
Also, it is a no pressure project as it is for my own personal growth as an artist.
Thanks for taking a look and anyone interested is welcome to travel the world with me through Pixabay.
That is really interesting, I have never seen anything like it. The color wheel appealed works really well with reds, greens, blues and oranges making it really pop. I’m guessing you used a lot of stippling to create the piece. Glad to see this artwork Artsy, really well down.
Samuel, it is done with all stippling. this is my favorite way of using ink. Thank you for all of your thoughtful comments.
Sonia wNOr - Thank you for your constant encouragement. I am really glad that you enjoyed this piece of artwork.
Terri with 2r’s, Thank you again for your kindness and encouragement. You know how much your opinion means to me. Especially since I know that you use colored inks too.Hope all is going okay.
You are very welcome Artsy, that’s a really creative way of making art although a bit time intensive, it does lead to a great result. I think I might try that sometime.
