A question about oil pastels

I have a question - I was looking at the class with oil pastels - and Matt uses a blender. I haven’t been able to find a blender anywhere, and non was included in the two sets of oil pastels I have bought (Sennelier and Paul Rubens). I have understood that one can use solvent as a blender - would that work for this course? I do have plenty of solvent for oils.

Hi @siffermus

If you go to the Blick web site / Sennelier Oil Pastels and sets, the first individual color listed is No. 221 for $3.80 and is called “Transparent Medium”. If I remember correctly, this is their blender.

Hi Siffermus,I found on Amazon 10pcs Silicone Color Shapers for $5.99.
They are softer than the original one I had but have neat little metal balls on the other ends of different sizes that work neat in changing shapes too! When they came they said for clay Sculpting tools for Artists. And then in italics they said Awpeye Direct Co.
I forget if you said you can use Amazon or not?
Good Luck! I really like them.
