I’m finding that the combo of Prismacolor Pencils with Pan Pastels is a good combo for detail and bokeh background. This is from a photo of a California Osprey near the coast. Awesome looking birds to watch!

I love this art especially the way you did the background and the way you call attention to the eye with those colors.
I also drew an osprey from a photo I took in January. I’m a beginner and this was my second piece with polychromos pencils.
