I hope this is the right picture. I took a photo of this bird in 2006 near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I did this on Pastelmat paper, light gray, with pan pastels for the background and Caran d’Ache Luminance colored pencils for the bird and bamboo stalks. He was fun to do. The main problem was getting the tooth of the paper covered, which I really never did for the most part. If I did this again, I’d likely use different paper.
