Been having some fun this week playing around with colored pencils. Did use pastels for the background.

Its great to hear “playing around” with a medium. It reminds me to have fun with whatever I’m working on and experiment with whatever it is. Sometimes I get so intense that I overwork a project when I should have stopped a few breaths back.
The giraffe is a good subject.

Yes - the giraffe is a fun to draw and there aren’t so many colors. I had fun figuring out the shading and fun with the purple/blues for the darks
