My first two efforts to replicate the monochromatic cube and sphere from the Oil Pastel Course. I love learning this new medium, experimenting with it (clumsily often) and exploring the techniques to find my own expression with it. Would love to hear tips and thoughts from oil pastel fans.

Looks great! Layering is nice with the highlights on edges standing out while matching well. Yet another member that is better than I, so I can’t think of anything I’d do differently. Holding the angles and highlights is difficult as well as hard edges with such a “smeary” medium that doesn’t like to make sharp edges, you did very well.
I love them!!! There so simple but you captured the textures and highlights so so well! Great job!
