It’s me! Hang on to your hats! I won’t say I’m old, but I’ve been around the block more than once. That does not mean I’ve knocked on every door, just that I’ve been there and done some of that.
In southern Summit County, Ohio, USA, in art class, 5th or 6th grade, using crayons, I drew a Japanese Geisha using an encyclopedia page. It wasn’t half bad (which means it was at least half good) and it remained on the kitchen wall until after I left home at 18. Decades later, from near St Louis, MO, USA, I still recall the pride my parents had in that effort.
Many many attempts later I’m here trying again to learn to create art. This is my third or fourth go at The Virtual Instructor. Maybe this time I’ll stick.
Anyway, I’m glad to be here and hope to learn not just from Matt and his staff, but from other members as well. Maybe some of my artistic experiences will help someone else achieve a goal. Maybe not, but here’s hoping.
Everyone has talent. To be successful artist one must diligently practice their talent. (Me, a long time ago.)
