Jan, your rendering is so much better than the reference. I look forward to seeing it finished. I hope that you will turn it in for a critique if you are a member.
Thanks for sharing and will watch for the finished artwork.

Thank you. I will once I get it done . Hoping to get it done this week.
I don’t know how to send it for critique. I tried and it kicked me out
Hi @Creativejan
Regarding the critique, there are file size limits. Make sure the artwork you send is photographed well, and is within the file size limit.
Also, the image needs to be just the artwork - no easel or background. Take a look at other critiques to get an idea of the photos others submit
Terri
So good to see you back in action, especially with an acrylic painting! I hope you figure out how to send it to critique. It’s a really good painting.
I’d love to see what Matt would say, wet media is my lowest on my skills curve so any suggestions that Matt suggests are a good lesson for myself!
I hope to see you more often around here!
Sonia
Thank you Sonia . I got advice from someone else on here how to send it so I will try .
I love acrylic and watercolors and oil and pastels not so good with graphite pencils or charcoals I am trying . Oil paint is not my highlight either .
What are your favorite mediums?
@Creativejan so glad you got it figured out!
The answer the question…my all time favorite is soft pastels ![]()

Followed by colored pencils, graphite and charcoal. If I ever get good skills for wet media, my all time favorite would be watercolor and oil…. Until then I adore soft pastels with all my heart lol
Sonia
That is awesome . Pastels are so soothing and so pretty .
