Many of us are worried about our dear friends living in North Carolina. Teri Pope (aka ArtsyCrochet) lives in Asheville. Here is what I found on the internet:
Historic North Carolina village underwater after devastating damage from Helene -
Fast-moving water surged above front-door steps, inundating buildings and small businesses as Asheville appeared nearly flattened by Helene.
Teri is in our prayers and has not been able to contact any of us.
I have also sent a message to Matt asking how he and Ashley are doing from Hurricane Helene. Hopefully he will post here to let us know. Or if Matt sends me a reply, I’ll update what I know here as well.
Ashley and I are fine. The storm was pretty devastating to the west of where we are. I spent a good portion of the weekend cleaning up but no considerable damage and we are all safe. I haven’t heard anything from Teri, but I know that part of the state is still without power and internet. Many roads and bridges are gone completely. Major roads, like portions of I-40 are gone. They are air lifting in supplies with helicopters. It may be a few days before power and internet are restored. Asheville was hit hard. I hope Teri is fine. I’m sure she’ll respond as soon as she can.
Thank you so much for these soothing news regarding you and Ashley. We have indeed questioned, how much you might have been hit by Helene. Knowing you are more or less save really lightens my heart.
Regarding dear Teri, we just hope and sit tight. Last time I received a message from her was three days ago (night of 26th/27th her time). She wrote she had everything charged and ready to go.
Matt & Ashley, please take all the time you need to clean up and rest.
Thank you Terri for the information. I did not know Teri lives in the Asheville area. Hopefully, she will come out of this with minimal or no damage.
Patricia
So glad to hear that Matt and Ashley are ok after the hurricane. Sending love from Australia, my thoughts are with Teri and hope to soon hear news that she is also alright, that is, as much as anyone can be after such a devastating event.
Best wishes, Cathy
Hello all. Being from south Louisiana originally, I know how devastating these storms can be. Terri, thanks for posting, and Matt, thanks for the update. I pray for a speedy recovery for all affected.
So grateful that Matt and Ashley and families are safe. Thank you for letting us know, Matt. My prayers are going out for Teri as well as all the other folks impacted by this terrible hurricane.
DEARS - TERI (ARTSYCROCHET) HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE AND SOUND!!!
As some of you might know, we have been in great worries about dear Teri. Today (10/3), we have got news that she is safe.
She won’t be able to be online until further notice as the area she lives in is mostly out of power, internet, water systems and all - but she is SAFE!!!
Should you want (me) to leave her any message, just drop a line here. It will be forwarded to her once one of her friends can make contact with her (again).
Teri, you are in all our minds.
Yours,
Buddy
Ps.: I have sent a seperate email to Matt & Ashley
