On this Valentine’s Day I want to thank each and every one of you for sharing your love by sharing your art with us.
James from Covina Ca
Hello James,
Thank you for your kind greeting to all of us. I know I have been absent a while but lurking in the shadows of everything.
I grew up in Rowland Heights, CA just a hop and a skip from Covina. I have not visited there in almost 30 years!
I imagine it has changed a lot. Were you in any danger from the Easton (sp) fire the past month? Weather of all types has really been beating CA down these past years.
Again, thank you for the kind message and for sharing all your fantastic artwork with us too.

Hello Teri, a pleasant surprise hearing from you & my apologies for not responding sooner. I am aware of your own struggles & I pray the situation is becoming close to normal. We were lucky concerning the Altadena fire, it did not reach this far eastward. We could see the flames and on the third day we had the smoke as the shifted around.
I have been trying to get out of California for sometime now. 2007 we put a deposit down on a house in Tennesse.
Again praying your situation is improving.
Thank you,
James from Covina Ca
Hello James,
Now I am apologizing for such a delayed response. i am glad you are safe from the fires. What part of TN are you looking to move too? This is very close to where I live and in Asheville NC and also to where Matt and Ashley are.
I do appreciate your prayers. I believe strongly in Jesus as our Savior and friend who watches over us a protects us, He is our Savior.
I don’t say much because the current climate is so very tainted in relation to the Gospel of Christ Jesus.
Please let me know if you get the house. Tennessee has some beautiful scenery. What part is the potential house at that you have put a bid on?
We may soon be neighbors!
Like I said I do appreciate your prayers.

Hello Teri, I hope you are sitting down and it is my turn to apologize to you for taking so long to respond.
It doesn’t look good for us to be moving. The kids are older and have their lives and my wife doesn’t want to go without them.
Have you gotten any relief from the aftermath of the hurricane yet? As long as we keep that which is the main thing in front, beside and behind, Jesus Christ, the Savior.
James from Covina
Hello James,
Yes you are correct. Other than confidence in the water where I am is looking up. there are parts where people don’t have any help. Being disabled with Lyme disease I can’t do much. more that to pray.
I understand your wife want to stay close to family and your children wanting to stay where they are. My parents move out east when I was 19 and I did not want to go but they went anyway.
But, in the end I found the way and honestly rejoice in suffering as it teaches us to love. And through Lyme Disease and here at the VI I have made some wonderful friendships.
How many children do you have? Any new artwork?
I pray that you and your family are all doing well.
