Parrot with ink pens and watercolor

It’s been a very long time since I’ve been able to make any art. This is my first painting in months of a bluefronted amazon parrot. I first drew the parrot with fineliners on watercolor paper and then I painted it in.
It’s 15 by 18 centimeters.

Hi Anne @Appelmoes -

So nice to see you posting your artwork here again. I love it and actually had stumbled on your YouTube video a day or two ago.

Hope to see more of you around here. Please submit this excellent piece to Matt for the Members Minute.

Oh what a coïncidence! Well, I’m planning to make a whole series of birds, so I hope to post some more soon!
That’s a good idea to send it in, but it is not a full illustration because it has no background. So I don’t think Matt would critique it.

I have times where I do not have the time to do my art work for awhile, but I know I will get back to it and that is okay.

Hi @Appelmoes -

Matt has critiqued several things without backgrounds, that are created in more of a botanical style. Send it in but be prepared that he may mention what he thinks about with or without background.
