Thanks everyone for your kind comments on my last project 'Wallaby ’
This weekends project is a portrait of my neighbour’s dog ‘Chloe’ from my smartphone photo. She is the eldest of his 3 dogs. I’m planning to draw each of them as a thank you gift as he keeps an eye on my animals while I’m often away staying with my elderly mother who has dementia. My heart goes out to others in the group caring for their elderly parents or loved ones.
The paper is strathmore toned tan using pan pastels, pastel and charcoal pencils.
How cute! That’s quite a set of mediums you’ve got going on, too! I also love how you squeezed your signature and the date onto the piece, keeping it all cohesive, very nice!
