I’ve only done the “Basic Forms” lesson in the “Charcoal Drawing Course” so I really have no idea what I am doing here but I couldn’t wait to see how charcoal works with details so I thought I would play around with it. I strayed far from the purpose of the “Raven in Charcoal” lesson and it’s far from accurate tonally but I learned a lot about the medium doing this and for me it’s always better to work on a subject that I have a strong interest in. Surprisingly it is not as messy as I thought it would be and edges and stray charcoal dust on the drawing clean up easily. Nevertheless, I’m off to give my drawing table a thorough cleaning and probably anything else I have touched during this drawing.
