A Portrait Drawing

This is the first in a three portrait commission. It is graphite and white charcoal on Canson Mi-Tientes paper, 8x10.

This is great. Love it.

This is amazing. What pencils are you using? I love seeing portraits done in graphite. You are going to make someone very happy!

Thanks for the lovely comments, everyone. It helps to have a beautiful subject from which to make your artwork. I am working on his older brother, now. Of course, they are all older, now. The boy above is 13 and a hardworking farm boy. :man_farmer:

Lori, here are the tools that I used for this particular portrait. They are what I usually use for all my graphite portraits.

If you want any more details, let me know. :writing_hand::art:

Thank you Ginny. This is very helpful. I can’t wait to see the brother you are working on now.

This is precious, I love the eyes, the shiny little nose and the slight smile. Very cute! Are you drawing all three portraits at this age?

So cute! Just want to go pinch his little cheeks.
