I love this already. Can’t wait for the finish of it.

Today’s progress. the red looks not at all natural!

Hi @junenez , I didn’t see the lesson so I don’t know which red is used there, but today I bought fruit called “red pear” and I can tell you it was same red on the side like yours. So for me, your red color matches the pear I ate today. :pear:

@junenez

Thanks for the prompt post of your progress. I really like your greens, more like the reference, and not as blue as in Matt’s painting. I wouldn’t worry about the red. With acrylics it takes several layers to refine all those values and blending between the colors.

Hello June,

All your artwork has such a style that is just you. I think that you did a great job and will enjoy watching the progress. I think that your red looks good.natural.

I was going to upload my first week, have not finished the lesson from today, but, I can’t upload the pictures from my phone. Its new and sometimes a bit stubborn - lol! I will post when I get it uploaded.

Here is my pear from week one. I’ll add week 2 when I finish it.

Thank you! And it is the weekly monday live class. Have you done any of the live classes yet? They are great

working on two of them at the same time because I wanted to try my flat panel since I accidently ordered 12 of them! LOL
Enjoying using acrylics again and using many of my cheaper brands for these practices!
I think the blending is the hardest and like Matt said …the highlight parts are just not quite right yet…so glad we are not done with this yet!

Hi @junenez , yes I did some of live lessons and I agree they are great. I didn’t have time to jump into Mondays with Matt, but as soon as I will get some acrylics, I will surely do so.

Keep going with the lessons, I am curious how it will go.

Lucy

Looking good. You’re off to a great start @TLP

Hi @theresebriggs

This is so interesting to see you working on two at once. I look forward to seeing you finish both of them.

Terri Robichon

Thank you Terri. It has been challenging learning a new approach but will be helpful in future artwork.

How is preparation for the fair going?

Thank you June. Will you post week two here or start a new thread? We depend on you start a new thread - lol!!

Hi @TLP

Thanks for asking about the fair. 32 out of 42 possible pieces of Fine Arts entries done. That means 10 more in 5 weeks. Possible to get them done, but probably won’t make that goal this year.

Terri Robihcon

Teri, you never know. You may be able to as you are very efficient and an excellent artist. Even something simple you can make look as a challenging piece of artwork.

Hello classmates of Mondays with Matt. Here is my second attempt at the pear. Not sure how happy I am but can always push and pull paint till I am somewhat pleased.
