My favorite!! I think you will love them. Do note that they are oil based colored pencils and not waxed based, blending techniques will be a little different in comparison to wax based.
Enjoy!
Thanks for the tip @Jessica
My favorite technique for blending is using Gamblins Gamsol which is odorless mineral spirits with a brush to blend layers. (You need a few layers and enough pigment in order for it to move around and blend.) To me it almost resembles “oil paint” effects.
I also like to use Brush and Pencils Colored Pencil powder blender which is a dry blending method not my favorite method but I do still use it depending on the texture I am striving for. Brush and Pencil also make a powdered titanium white and liquid touch-up texture that I like to use for highlights. I dip a striping brush into the liquid then drag my brush through the titanium white to pick up the powder then apply it to my painting for high lights, also great for whiskers. For whiskers I will later go over them lightly to add a bit of color after it has dried. When I get a chance, I will post some pictures of works that I have done before using these methods.
I have a small set of those pencil, but I haven’t tried them yet, but they are supposed to be really good. I mainly just use prismacolor premier colored pencil. I’m not sure if this website is in the UK, but Blick art supply often has better prices then Amazon in most cases, if you are interested.
