I did this master copy as a grisaille, but I haven’t decided if I am going to add color or not. It is oils (burnt umber, ivory black, and titanium white) on a 9x12 panel. I do not know who painted the original that I copied. He reminds me of the Count of Monte Cristo, but some have said he looks like a young Sherlock Holmes or Edgar Allen Poe. LOL!
