Daniel Boone/ Fess Parker

It’s been a while since I last shared. To continue with my pencil-drawn, Frontiersmen and Cowboys.
This is drawn from a photo posted on the web from a search for, Daniel Boone. Fess Parker, portrayed a very convincing, Boone and Crockett.
A bit of trivia; Did you know that Boone never wore a coonskin cap? He preferred a large brim-felt hat.

I think this is an improvement on your last drawing, you seemed to have been quite focused on this. The only suggestion i would give, is try to darken some of the values… I’m telling you if you make those darker shadows with a 4-5b maybe even a 6b it will pop even more and this drawing will go up a whole “new level” of course I’m no expert! just my opinion overall, good effort! i like to see graphite drawings on the site. Keep them coming! your drawings have a nice warm vibration to them.

Very well done. Love it.

Thanks Denise. As always, I appreciate your visit and comments.
