Duck in acrylics Live Lesson

Hello,
Anybody working on the duck from live lessons?
I started today on a canvas panel with off brand acrylic paints from hobby lobby. I realized too late that I didn’t have a medium for acrylic paints so my paint dried out before I could finish the first lesson. I also traced as opposed to use grid to draw the duck plus made it smaller. I’m so late to this live lesson that I’d like to catch up before Ashley finishes.

Hi Sonia @Meme5 - I’m not doing this one (at least not now) but am watching the lessons and applying what I’m learning to an acrylic painting of my dad.

What you’ve done so far looks good and I think tracing the line drawing makes a lot of sense.

The question I have for you is do you have any plans to frame this? I’ve often thought how limiting canvas or linen panels are because how do you frame them if the image painted is smaller than the board. You can’t really cut it down like you could with paper.

It kinda goes back to that discussion about making artwork a “standard size” so that it is more affordable to buy matts and frames for it.
