Getting Sketchy Drawings

Here is my version of the space shuttle from Getting Sketchy earlier in June.

I had trouble getting the clouds of smoke right - they started WAY too orange so I had to tone that down.

OriNebula, I watched that shuttle go up many times live here in Florida including the day it exploded. That looks really good, he Shuttle and the fuel tanks take me back in time, only thing missing is the sand shifting under my feet from the sound waves. Thanks for posting, Ron

Thanks for you comments. I have to admit that I had mixed feelings while drawing it. I loved the shuttle program overall as a teenager - was in HS when the Challenger accident happened. Drawing that one brought me back in time to the joy of watching space exploration, but also back to a couple tragic loses that I think started the end of an era.
