Happy Thanksgiving

I’d love to see any of your sketches or paintings here that are fall/Thanksgiving themed if you’ve been working on any.

Once again, I’ve been awol from the forum for a bit, and have spent less time for my art due to homeschooling 5 kiddos. But, we are breaking for the holidays which means more time for my art and you all here.

I painted this and decided to give it as a hostess gift for thanksgiving, so I got a frame for it, which I love because it has just the right touch of blue to compliment the painting. It’s not my best watercolor, but it was a fun seasonal tutorial from Let’s Make Art YouTube channel for reference. I do love fall: warm, full mugs, fall foliage, and books so it makes me happy to look at. tried to get a picture without a glare…

I don’t get on the forum enough either. I do have a fall painting of a picture my sons friend took. It is painted in water-mixable oils. Its been a while since I painted but it is definitely fall here near Asheville.

I do hope that you enjoy the rest of fall.

Oh, I love that scene. My husband and I spent our 10th anniversary in Asheville and it is beautiful. Very nice painting! I’ve never heard of water mixable oils but that sounds intriguing. Thank you for sharing.
