This is a photos we took where my Brothers ashes were buried. And this blue image appeared and up close you can see an image of my brother in this blue chalice. Even took it to a priest to show him and he’d never seen anything like it either.
Also would love to draw reflections like in glasses etc,
Anyone else have interest in reflective drawings…even in the water you can see so much of the back ground!
I tried but not too good at getting the eyes with the reflection?? Any ideas from my friends out here?

This is Gorgeous! Wonderful Sun light through the trees.
Hi Teresa @theresebriggs
To solve your problem with the eyes, I think you need to focus on adjusting your values. Notice in the reference that there are a lot of dark tones above the eyes, but in your photos you’re trying so hard to do a detailed rendering in the reflection that the range of values there are way too light. Hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction.
Terri
thx Terri for that…great observation!
I’ll try and adjust the values!

Hello Theresa. This is a really tough drawing. I think that you did a nice job. Terri (with 2r’s) suggestions are good. I always appreciate her help.
Values are something we all need to work on. I know that I do!!!
Also the first photo would be easier in some mediums over others due to the bright sunlight.
I find if I set something I am working on aside for a day or two and come back with fresh eyes it is really helpful.
See you on Wednesday!

Dear Therese,
I know what it means, when suddenly your loved sibbling is taken away. I lost almost my entire family way too early both in their and my life. Though I don’t believe in God, I am sure that you don’t disappear after you died. It’s just a metaphore into another energy, and sometimes closed ones stay with us this way.
Thank you for sharing this photo of your loving brother. I would not try to draw it litterally, but keep it along with the feelings in my mind and heart.
May your brother rest in peace,
Buddy
