After the drawing and graphite courses I was most inspired by my newfound ability to draw the elements of a portrait, especially the eyes, nose and mouth. I embarked on a project drawing young women and then progressed to older women with more lines on the face. I share my drawings here

For the South African lady and the Ugandan girl I used 120gr smooth paper but then I invested in Fabriano 200gr cold pressed which was much better especially with the cheaper pencils I used because the graphite gripped the paper a bit better. I used 2H HB and 2B mainly with a bit of 4B pretty much as suggested in the course. I also used blending sticks quite a bit and found a sharp edged pencil rubber useful.
Thank you Terri. I have been inspired by the work of the community.
Correction: 160gr cold pressed paper
