One Hour Daily value sketches

Hello,

I have been doing a daily sketch with graphite and white charcoal. I try to keep it to 1 hour daily and if I don’t finish I don’t finish. Sometimes, if the reference is difficult I will work on it for two days but not more than 2 hours.

This has really helped me improve on my values and seeing shapes in the image.

You could be right on that. I do try to put an alarm for one hour, but as I’m sure you have experienced, when in a flow you just don’t want to stop!! But as I get better I hope to actually get down to 1-2 hours.
