Matt added another lesson on YouTube. It’s called Lime Slices - Acrylics. Here is my finished project.
I struggle with Acrylic Paints, my least favorite media, but I think it turned out okay. Sure hope others give it a try and post their results.
I am going to try but will use gauche. I don’t have any acrylics and certainly don’t want to buy any more supplies!
Yours turned out great!
I think it came out great. Love it.
Gouache should work fine for that project. I look forward to seeing it.
I think you painting is wonderful . I love to paint with acrylics and pastels . Oils paints and oil pastels are a little challenging for me [quote=“Meme5, post:1, topic:3151, full:true”]
Finally got the courage to draw my 20 year old daughter who has Down Syndrome. I used 9x12 gray toned paper with black and white charcoal. Attached are the progress pictures. She did not like the first two backgrounds I was doing first so I made it all black lol
Any suggestions are appreciated!
I like your interpretation of the painting. I just finished the cupcake, and this is the next project I want to work on.
When I first began dabbling in the idea of artwork I started with colored pencils, graphite and acrylics when I had no idea what I was doing back in 2013. I use open acrylics because the dry slower, so it is a bit like using oil paints.
I will post my interpretation of the limes when I get them done.
So I finally finished the acrylic Lymes. I am pretty pleased how it turned out.
I’ve hated Acrylics since art school. Unless they’ve changed I find it almost impossible to mix colors. You would practically have every color to get the effect of making shadows. Since I hate them so much someone would have to really convince to try again.

Thank you June,
I too have a few projects going all at the same time. But, my mind needs that! I started the project from Canada, I’ll PM it to you.
