I wanted to do a picture of a dog and found this one. I thought he was so serious about his chosen profession of spying on the neighbors. LOL! This is pastels on Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper, 11.5 x 15.5.

Beautiful. I think the shadow shows depth. Besides spying on his neighbors, he wants to go play with them and is sad that he cannot get them to notice him. Sad face.

Yes, I love the values and textures too… especially can feel the wetness of his fur and his wet nose! Wonder who he is spying on…must not be a dog or he’d be more rambunctious! Hope you share more!!
