This is my first course with TVI. I had so much fun drawing these birds!
With the Kingfisher, I found the Prismacolors to be very “slick”, especially on Bristol smooth paper, which made the marks hard to control. For the Blue Jay, I love Pastelmat which is my favorite paper for colored pencils especially with the ability to do light over dark. I am waiting for my Blick order for the Mi-Teintes, so I did the hummingbird on the Fabriano Black Black which is another one of my favorite papers along with the Strathmore Toned Grey.
Now I am going to get serious about drawing which is definitely not my strong point, and I have started “25 Days to Better Drawings”. As soon as my art supply order gets here I’m going to start “The Charcoal Drawing Course” also.
