Thanks Terri, I saw the colored pencil drawing on the top of the topic, but I thought it was the most recent drawing posted. Sorry about that. It’s the one putting a plant into the ground, it looks like oil based pencils.

Okay, the clarification helps. That is Lenet’s drawing. Maybe he will see this and respond.
Just so this makes sense, after Lenet did that challenge (on another site), we decided to do the next challenge together. And that is how most of the rest of the posts came to be.

Seems like the veins popping out in the arm is really natural too and love the color choices you used!
Thank you @theresebriggs I did that drawing as part of a competition from another forum a while back. It was a fun challenge. The dirt was the real challenge, lol.

Hi @Samuel . I haven’t been on the forum in a while. I just came on and saw this post. The garden hands were done with Caran D’Ache Luminance color pencils on tan paper. As Terri stated it was a competition on another forum, then we did the tomatoes together “on line” as the next competition. Mine was my first watercolor. I was experimenting with different media at that time.

Did you really hit the nail on the head, LIFE HAPPENS. I do need to get back in the habit of checking in more often. I have to pick up the drawing tools again as well. I think my brain has been working overtime, filling my head with things That I should do. You know I have been dabbling into song writing, and have 17 songs written now. Have recently spent last few weeks doing home improvements, currently rebuilding my fence. So much going on, think I should go back to work so I can lighten my load some. Glad to hear from you.

I’m laughing now because I always feel like I had more time before I retired. Lately I’ve been into the same rut as you, with so many projects that suck up all of my time. I’ve got a watercolor on my desk right now that is only a 5x7, but I think it’s been about 2 weeks since I touched it. Hopefully I’ll finish it this weekend (fingers crossed).
