I am so grateful that my pastel painting was critiqued by Matt. Thank you so much. The critique was only posted this morning and I already have made some subtle changes according to Matt’s advice. I’d like to know what you think. I’m so excited and encouraged from the feedback I have received.
Some of the changes I made are…
Adding darks to the foliage and more darks to the water and rocks.
Adding more splashes of purple to the rocks and water.
Using more orange in the form shadow on the bird.
I’m not sure I went far enough with the darks.
Patricia also gave me some of the ideas so thank you Patricia.
I have indeed watched the critique. It’s my favorite thing to do every week. I left some comments there as well.
Yes, I can definitely see how you’ve refined your artwork and it really does make a difference.

One more suggestion, send this modified artwork back in to Matt at the Members Minute. He likes to see the changes and would probably share it once again breifly at the start of the next critique.
