Video keeps freezing

I am using the lessons on an iPad which keeps freezing and not re-loading, so I have to go back a lessons, and then enter the one that froze again. I have switched to my PC, but again the lesson has frozen just a few minutes in. My network is fast and properly connected and all my devices are running on their latest software. I don’t have this problem with anything else.

I hope you can help - I’m really enjoying the classes but it’s very frustrating.

I’m not a technical person so I’m sorry I don’t know how to fix the problem. You might want to send this question to Matt. Just so you know, he on vacation this week so don’t expect an immediate reply.

Hi Frances, It sounds like you may be experiencing buffering. Some of the video files are very large and require a fast internet connection. You can try changing the video quality on the player. To do this, click on the small icon of a gear on the video player and choose a lesser quality. This should help with the buffering. You can also check your internet connection by searching on a search engine “internet speed test”. You can run a speed test and see if your connection is actually fast. Some internet companies advertise fast speeds, but don’t actual deliver them.

Thanks for getting back to me. I do have a very fast connection, and it’s a very specific problem on a course which I think is quite old. So I wondered if that was affecting it. I’m currently following a much better class and everything is working fine.

I can live with the issue, but wanted to mention it in case it wasn’t just me having the problem.

Best wishes Frances
