Watercolor pencils

What is a good brand of watercolor pencils? I would like to get some for the next live lesson but have never used them.

Hi Sylvia. I would recommend Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer. The alternate would be Derwent. Both are fairly expensive but they are top quality products. I have tried lower priced pencils and found that they are hard and much less pigmented; it means that it is difficult to obtain good coverage with the cheaper brands. I have heard that the General’s pencils are good and provide nice results and they are much more affordable. I hope this helps you.

Thank you Patricia for the recommendation. I went ahead an ordered the Faber-Castell Albercht set.
