Acrylic “Van Gogh meets Disney”

Back in the day—60s and early 70s—I always wanted to be a Disney artist. And, Van Gogh has long been my favorite artist. In this small acrylic piece—the circle is is roughly 3” across—I joined two of my favorite things. I painted most of this using a magnifying glass. It is acrylic. The window itself is from Geppetto’s workshop. And to be pay homage to Vincent, a few of the strokes of the Starry Night were done directly from the tube of paint.

You did great with your acrylic application, especially being such small scale. I cannot imagine the size of your brush to be able to do tiny strokes. I have limited experience with acrylic paints, and need more practice to get any good results. Thank you for sharing your creation.
