Bay view - graphite

I have been trying to drawing a scene from childhood. Of course I don’t have any reference photos for the full scene. I’ve also modified it a touch from what I remember - in reality there isn’t a lighthouse off to the right, but I think the drawing needed something and I didn’t want yet another boat.
My goal is to do this in colored pencils, but I wanted to do it in graphite first. Then I want to do the various elements in more detail in colored pencils before putting them all together again (thats what I’m working on now).

This looks nice, I’m interested to see it once you’ve added a few bits of color. I love working with graphite and would like to learn how to add small bits of color to add interest. I’m usually too nervous to mess up the drawing once I’ve gone that far. Please continue to share
