Anyone else interested in seeing a cartooning course here? Any advice on where to find one?
I am interested in the “Charles Schulz” kind of simplicity in cartooning. Not so much the detailed penwork type (although I appreciate those old masters, Oliphant, Jeff Mac…Bill Mauldin…). There are a lot of books on the subject and I have a good few, but video course would be a nice motivator. And as long as I am here…just discovered Julia Cameron’s Artist’s Way Not related to cartooning other than its focus is on developing creativity…highly recommend even for “Linear” thinkers like me!
Yes. That would be very cool.
I’d love that . I recently thought the same
Yes! You read my mind. Thank you for clarifying what type of cartooning as I dislike almost all “modern” cartooning (for the lack of a better/nicer word - not just the drawing).
And, I have a little project for myself that would be based upon the way classic cartoons once were.
I hope this comes true!
Hi Dave! I’m not sure if this what you’re looking for but creatureartteacher.com might be worth a look. The artist is Aaron Blaise and he was an artist and animator at Disney for more than 20 years.

Thanks Pete, I will check it out.
Follow Up: For anyone else that is interested in cartooning I found the Tim Hodge segments useful. I used this site a couple years ago and lost track of it. Its pricey* but hey, what isn't. Aaron's stuff is light years beyond where I am looking to go (mostly animation) But there are a couple very useful Tim Hodge cartooning segments. Thanks again Pete...I have now bookmarked the site. Still, would like to see the virtual instructor do a "25 days to better cartooning" type course. *Tim's segments may be available stand alone for $35. range)

I have his courses and I think he’s really good instructor. If you had asked sooner they were having a big sale. They will probably have another soon.
Another thing to look for is pre order prices on new courses.
I would be interested in old days cartooning and children’s book illustration. We could ask Matt on live lesson.
Hi everyone, what about asking Matt tonight? If I remember correctly, Ashley likes comics and Matt did some illustration in his life. Not too sure, if he is interested in teaching this style nor if it’s teachable in the first place.
I don’t want to make him feel under stress.
