Gettin' Sketchy 10th July - Legozilla

I just love oil pastels and really enjoyed this subject.

Jane. This is great and I love that you got both hands and all of the feet. I like your version and I may copy it if that is okay.

Oh - love it! I missed it and I am not a fan of oil pastels! But maybe I should try this one

Jane @janed,
Your whole body Legozilla and light/shadow are very nicely rendered!

Here’s my Legozilla with a somewhat of a muffin top. I used my cray-pas expressionist oil pastels on dark grey canson mi teintes went and fixed it a little bit then reposted

Of course! The only reason why I included the feet was because the placement left space for the feet.

Hi everyone -

Here is my contribution to the Lego - Gettin’ Sketchy drawing. Mine is 5x7 so that it will fit in a standard size frame.

My husband said “why are you drawing that”? I told him it was a lesson and I’m still learning how to do oil pastels. He didn’t know what it was. But then, we have no kids, no grandkids, no Lego’s.

Legozilla is so good!, especially for someone who never stepped barefoot on painful legos or lego people. You must get you some legos and live the experience of stepping on them barefoot. It’s unforgettable

I love it. The colours are so vivid.
We’re the same, no kids or grand kids. I think we had about 5 pieces of Lego in my house growing up, they were my older brother’s and most had been lost.

I shared mine on my Facebook and all my nerdy friends had comments such as “Lego man ov doom”. And mentioned that it looked more sinister without a face. My friend’s daughter told me she showed mine to her 7 year old and he loved it - he’s my favourite art critic now.
