Hey @junenez , thanks for sharing your art , I tried this too. Mine are quite hard beginners pastels and limited colours , so I totally get what you mean about not having the right greens. You seem to have a nice warm dark green which I envied !. Love the sky holes in your foreground tree , mine got smudged , ah well , try again. I may invest in a softer better set.
Hope I see more of your posts

Hi June @junenez

It’s always fun to see how much you accomplish in such a short time. Well done.

Here’s my Getting Sketchy. It’s on the pastelmat Matt used. I used some square sticks of Mungyo Gallery Artist’s soft pastels that I bought during Thanksgiving break. I do have rembrandt but wanted to try those new (new to me) ones. The range of greens are brighter, not as natural as the greens rembrandts have, also a little too dusty but not too bad. Actually completed along with Matt kinda my way. :smile:

@junenez

I struggled with the right greens also. But anything pastels is my absolute favorite. Thank you for always posting your Getting Sketchy drawings: thanks to you I did mine :grin:

Hi Trevor and Sonia,
Great job! I love trying to keep up Matt (or Ashley) and seeing what I can do in the short amount of time. Thanks for sharing your work. It is fun to see how we all end up with something a little bit different!
