Welder- Getting Sketchy

Really showing my lack of finesse with pastels but here is my effort in real time. I may try again- Terri I really cannot wait to see what you do with this! What’s everybody got? Lisa.

Wonderful job. I never try to follow during the live. I can’t seem to concentrate enough on what I do and get lost in watching Matt or Ashley.

Hi Lisa @HarleysMom -

I’ll definitely post when it is done. I’ve got three art projects going right now, including the welder, so it will probably be a week or more.

Terri @robichon,

I can’t wait to see your pastels welder. I permanently keep my pastel pencils all sorted out in clear little drawers on top of my desk, as well as paper scraps of all kinds in a paper holder. So I grabbed first thing I saw and used it. Turned out ok, considering the hurriedness I was in.

Hi Sonia @Meme5

I also wanted to let you know that I am doing my welder drawing on the black Mi-Teintes Touch paper that you gifted me.

These look great. The highlight of a Thursday is watching Gettin Sketchy. I’m going to make my breakfast and watch before work.

Hi Jane @janed

Wonderful job. So glad you did it and posted here for all to see. I’m still working on mine. A larger and more realistic version because I think this is one I will want to frame and hang.

Love it. Great job and interesting.

Worked on my hardworking welder a little more. It’s still sketchy, but not so shabby sketchy  It’s tiny 3.5 x4.5 inches

Hi Sonia. Wow, that’s small, but definitely improved. I have now worked on my 8x10 version for two days (14 hours) and think I will finish tomorrow. It’s been such a joy to work on and I can’t wait to show you.

I can’t wait!!! :hugs::grin::star_struck:….I started reworking my little white rose in oils! I am enjoying oils so much!!! …and I can’t wait to show you, well whenever it dries enough for adding a couple more layers.

Yes that drying time can drive you crazy. I have found if I use a lot of medium with the paint, it greatly increases the drying time.

I FINISHED so here is my WELDER. 8x10 on black Mi-Teintes - Touch paper (thanks @Meme5) using pastel pencils. It took me about 18 hours over a 3-day period of time.
