Gettin’ Sketchy Tomatoes in Oil pastels

I didn’t find a thread for the tomatoes so I started one. I hope to see all of yours.

I must say oil pastels are a challenging media to me but they are so fun. I loved using oil medium to make it look like an oil painting, although I kind of used my fingers to make a little better transitions. My tomatoes are not pro material but I loved painting them. :hugs::grin:

I am wishing you well with a speedy recovery from your eye surgery :hugs:, and can’t wait to see your tomatoes posted. I hope you like those new Meeden oil pastels as much as I do:grin: which are what I used on this tomatoes, i used a Sennelier from my set of 40 last minute to add a little bright orange that my 72 ct Meeden didn’t have. It was very enjoyable

Uuuuu, this looks so cool! I will keep in mind to try this one. But first I have to go thru my “duck-taking forever-project” in acrylics :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thank for inspiring, Sonia

I actually never finished my duck. It might be time to revisit it now that you’ve brought it up. My poor acrylic duck is waiting to be finished in the corner of unfinished work. Acrylics are super challenging to me!!
