Wow - this was very very challenging!!!
I missed the live show tonight but watched the You Tube post. Biggest and best bird song ever, Leonard Skinner’s Free Bird, just my opinion.
Very well done! I will do those over the weekend. I have mixed emotions because watercolors are already challenging for me but even more so in a timed manner regardless of taking a little longe. However, Gettin’ Sketchy is always super fun to do!
Thank you for starting the thread

Fly high , Free bird Yeah !
June, I am so amazed at your outcome! I know you always paint along, and I’m envious of your ability to do that!

Good job, @HarleysMom! When I do them, it will be way, way over!!!

Wow June! Wonderful results.
Patricia.
Hi HarleysMom. I love your version as well as June’s.
Patricia.
Great watercolor painting. Love it.
Did my watercolor birds. Sloppy but fun! I made it during alloted time, but more time equals more sloppy as watercolor is still a struggle for me!
I did the lovebirds, but I certainly didn’t try to do them in 45 minutes or even an HOUR and 45 minutes! LOL!! I do not do well under the pressure of a timed drawing. Not sure why. Anyway, here is my finished painting. Not loose at all. Very tight. Probably too tight! Lots of dry brushing! AND their feet are very weird! I even lost an entire toe on the left-most foot. LOL But I do love their little beaks.

June, Harleysmom, Sonia, and Brenda,
I really enjoy seeing all of your artwork. This was a fun Gettin’ Sketchy to watch and you all have created adorable little birds for us to see.
Mine are still floating around in my head!!

Hi all,
As I am in the process of traveling (and moving as well) with only one carry-on luggage
, I had to choose something small from my collection of art supplies to come with me.
So I bought traveling size of watercolor paint and a little notebook to join me. I have one pencil and 3 brushes with me as well. It was a hard decision to make as you can surely imagine. ![]()
This is my first piece of watercolor, and even thou I like to play with water, I can say it was hard for me. Let’s see how it goes after time, as I will probably be spending some time with watercolor from now on. ![]()
OK, enough of bla bla
, here is the piece (small size, around the length of a pencil):
