I have had my membership since December and got half way through a pencil course and then have done nothing Life got in the way. I decided to give the Lizard man a whirl in ink- starting w advanced was not the best choice but it was a study in planning and patience for me
some errors I was able to cover and some not- but I am really happy with it.
That looks really good, that one was a hard one for me as well. I did had some problems with where the lizard head was I cross-hatched on the picture frame behind him by mistake. I feel like the snout (if you don’t mind me saying so), may have been better if it was a little longer, and I think the wall hatching was closer together. Despite that, you did a good job, and sometimes it’s good trying some out of our normal comfort zones.
Wow Tgad1, you did really good!! You should definitely be happy about it. That is one piece I find super challenging just by looking at it. Maybe someday soon I’ll try it, in the meantime I will enjoy this one you drew!
Life sure has a way of shifting our focus sometimes, but I’m glad you jumped back in! Tackling the Lizard Man in ink is quite the challenge, and I admire your willingness to dive into something advanced. I think every piece teaches us something and learning to plan and be patient is such a huge part of the process. Can’t wait to see what you work on next; whether it’s continuing the pencil course or trying something new!
I’m sure of that, but those were just things to keep in mind, although despite the mistakes it looks really good. I can’t wait to see original pen and ink drawing from you.
