Hi I wanted to greater a group for all kinds of art that is not limited to one media, hope you guys enjoy
Not really my most recent, but here’s a wall quilt I made and sold last year. It’s called “Moonlight Vimanas”.
With fabric you can’t really do shading with the fabric itself. It’s all about planes, tonal value, color and texture. Actually, thinking about it, you could probably do shading with thread because you could do hatching, cross hatching and similar techniques with thread.
I used to do a lot of animals in fabric. Here are a few. The background fabric on this one is “dyed” with Inktense blocks.
The background fabric on this one was texturized with oil pastel then I painted over that with acrylics, the oil pastel acting as a resist.
I absolutely love all of your posted fabric creations. Thanks for sharing them here.

They are all fantastic
Thanks, Terri! I was just getting ready to sell my sewing machine but you all’s positive feedback is making me pause on that!
You have a very unique talent. To capture the values using contrasting colors with fabric is amazing not to mention all those pieces have to be joined together. Beautiful job thanks for posting. Ron
Thanks for your positive feedback.
Thanks for your positive feedback, Ron.
i like your artwork a lot too it is so bright and expressive
Great idea to start a thread like this one!
I know very little of sculpture, most I have done is play doh kindergarten art haha, which helps me understand the difficulty of producing very smooth shapes such as your snake. I wish the background was a little lighter to better appreciate your creation, if you don’t mind me saying keep your art coming!

It is admirable how good your pieces art and the skillset for sewing so many intricate shapes. They are awesome!

Bought some wax crayons month ago and tried them two days ago. This ones are Manley wax crayons, really soft… Nice to combine them with waxy colored pencils.
This pic born out of just scribbling around.
Is there someone with experience with wax crayons?
It is really interesting, Germans only thinking of children scribbling around. When I surched in English or Spanish there are ideas shared which show grownup art with wax crayons.
