Oh wow, thanks so much Maki
By the way, I also got some of the silicon blenders and they worked really well on my last piece, they work particularly well on non-sanded paper. So pleased you put me onto them. So much to learn.
Love your sweet owls, you’re so talented

Hi Emily.
Thanks so much for your kind words about my onion still life. It’s one of my favorites.

I also want to let you know how great your pen drawing of an owl is looking. The color and texture of the eyes is spot on and the multi-colored features are looking so good. I love posts when you can see a drawing as it is being created. Thanks so much for sharing.

Hi Cathy,

I like what you did with this landscape and I agree with Maki that your version has more of a natural or wild feel, rather than being too manicured. I did this lesson, but I was messing around with blending, etc. It’s much better hidden away :joy:. There was some good advice given in some of the comments that will help take it to the next step.

Hi Pottsie - time to get over to the Live Lesson with the rest of us.

Thanks for the prod Terri! I did join in until the end, but even though I was signed in, it would not allow me to participate. I had issues like this before and got frustrated. I’m wondering if it’s because I use an iPad? I still have frustrations in the forum for some reason.

I will try to join again next week!

Hi Bill - I always sign in thru the Facebook option. Then it shows my FB photo when I post messages in the chat. See you in the LiveLesson next week (if you can get it to work).

You got it! I have a collection of albino animals from pixabay. Al least I think they’re albino, but I find them beautiful. I guess going through an albino animals stage.

Thank you @theresebriggs. I think that particular bird looks like a little witch in a beautiful way. Haha
I went over the eyes with matte dark graphite . The rest is faber castle regular graphite 2B and 4B. I think

Terri, I just have seen your picture of your two sisters and totally got drawn into Anne’s clock. Time is so precious! It perfectly connects your sisters and what you all share together.

This painting is very special,

Dear Terri, what a nice drawing! I did the boat myself with soft pastel. As I wanted to loosen up and stick to the sticks (instead of using pastel pencils), my boat turned out … somewhat like a children’s drawing. Nevertheless, anything else has been fun.

Your picture looks so much betterthan mine,
You are so talented,

Gosh, dear Sonia, how are you able to do drawings like this during a trip??? Increadibly awsome! I still shy away from any portrait, but hope to improve my skills on my artistic journey.

I finally finished this colored pencil drawing. It’s 5x7 on 140# Arches hot press watercolor paper. It was a photo challenge from another on-line site.
